An exploration of existential theory and practice with Dr Manu BazzanoAwareness of our mortality and of endings (in therapy as in life) is crucial to existential therapy. This talk/discussion will explore the four criteria in Heidegger’s notion of ‘being-towards-death’ alongside the work of biologist/philosopher Gilbert Simondon for whom non-life is at the heart of life itself. In what way can these insights enhance our work as existential therapists?
Dr Manu Bazzano is an author, psychotherapist/supervisor and internationally recognized lecturer and facilitator. He has a background in philosophy and rock music. His latest book is Nietzsche and Psychotherapy (Routledge, 2019). Subversion and Desire (Routledge) will come out in October 2022.
